2018 began in a new city - capital of New Zealand. We were staying at the city center at Liberty Apartment Hotel, which made accessing all sites very convenient.
We began the day at Te Papa, the national museum. It had very food exhibits and we learnt about the wars they were involved in, the agreements with the Maoris and even had a look at 500 kg giant squid.
Post lunch we decided to walk up Mt Victoria. It was a steep walk the girls decided to make it half way and take a break while the boys continued all the way to the summit.
Awesome views of the city beckoned. Evening was well spent walking along the city centre and along Cuba street.
